An Old Kerry Farmer wrote to his Son serving a sentence in Portlaoise Prison:
“Dear Sean,
This year I won’t be able to plant any Potatoes or vegetables because I can’t plough the field without your help. I know that if you are here, you would be helping me. Your Mum and I are so disappointed”.
Sean writes back to his father,
“Dear Dad,
Don’t even think of doing any digging in that field because that’s where I buried all the bank robbery money.”
The prison authorities read the letter and the next day the entire field was dug up by those looking for the money but nothing was found.
The following Day the Sean again wrote to his father,
“Dear Dad,
Now that the field is well dug up you can go ahead and plant your potatoes and vegetables, That’s the best I can do from here.
Love from Sean”
